Congestion pricing has worked in London and other cities. While we don't know for certain what New Yorkers and New Jerseyites would do if congestion pricing is implemented, most likely it would be something close to London's experience. Many drivers overestimate the number of drivers that patronize a business vs walk-up customers. It's unfortunate the New Jersey border is next to Manhattan so that car-dominant areas can impose their will on New York City; it should be the other way around. In other cities the central city or a metropolitan organization has authority over issues like transit and roads in the entire metropolitan area, so they can implement a sensible transit-first, cars-last policy.

From PA here ...PA is a very beautiful state....just stay away it's largest cities and you will be perfectly fine ....stay away from Philadelphia, Pittsburg and Harrisburg ...crime in these cities were terrible 😢

If they do any plans, they should make all the transit free or extremely low-cost. Congestion pricing would only allow billionaires to drive wherever they wanted, but keep blue-collar Americans in poverty

With the $16.5 Billion in MTA upgrades put on hold, would we save just as much money, or more to shift away from a fair-based system to fair-free MTA that uses cheaper and faster rail technology such as MAGLEV RAIL, which goes 1,200 mph via encapsulated vacuum tunnel?

I don’t favor my home of Englewood, NJ being a parking lot for New Yorkers, especially if I’m taking a Lyft into Hell’s Kitchen.
